Tagaytay Wedding of JM and Nikki “Anticipate”
There were days you’d look at that other person before saying goodbye, with their smug face, and in your heart, you wish that person would never have to leave.
Days that you’d wish that they’d never have to fade into the background; and you, holding on to that last speck of their existence.
Days apart, days that you’d be on your own, days when all you can ever do is look forward, because the future is the only thing you can hold on to, quite frankly.
It’s that soft crippling feeling, that longing, that feeling of anticipation for the next time you’d see him/her.
You don’t want any of that anymore.
And then suddenly, you wake up…Those days are but a blur now.
That person, whom you used to long for, suddenly, is snoring cutely in the morning, by your side. For good.
You make your coffee for two, butter the pancakes.
These are your days now— composed of warm cuddles, deciding for hours on end whether or not to stay in bed, and thanking that great Guy up high, that you are finally in that moment.
As Nikki would say it, “no more flights alone.
No more goodbyes”. Only “hello”, and “good morning, my love”.
For real. For good. Forever.
